DARPA awards $22 million to create 'smart' device for healing large muscle wounds

(University of Pittsburgh) Researchers from seven institutions team up to create a device combining artificial intelligence, bioelectronics and regenerative medicine to regrow muscle tissue, especially after combat injuries.
